Artist Statement - : Ifeoluwa Oluwaseun Olowu

In my artistic journey, self-expression takes center stage. Through the vibrant and vivid palette of colors, I immerse my audience in a world of emotions, moods, and feelings. My experimentation with various art
forms allows me to push the boundaries of creativity, yet I find myself most at home working with paints. Each brushstroke becomes a reflection of my inner voice, creating pieces that resonate with the
essence of human experiences. The interplay of colors and textures breathes life into my canvases, inviting viewers to journey beyond the surface and connect with the depth of the art. My artistic process is a dance of intuition and intention, allowing each piece to unfold organically while still being guided by a purposeful vision. I seek to leave a lasting impression on those who encounter my work, evoking a sense of wonder and a glimpse into the complexity of human existence. As I continue to explore the vast realm of artistic expression, I am drawn to the profound impact art has on the human soul. My aspiration is for my art to become a vessel through which viewers can find solace, inspiration, and a shared understanding of the human condition

Exploring Human figure and my experiences

As an artist, I strive to create work that is both visually stunning and intellectually stimulating. My current body of work centers around the
human figure, with a unique twist - each figure is represented by a bulb-like shape for the head. In these paintings, the blue-colored bulb head invites viewers to contemplate what it means to be human.

The bulb head figures are representations of humanity, yet their unconventional form creates a sense of ambiguity and mystery. What is the significance of the bulb head shape? How does it relate to the rest of the figure? To answer these questions and reveal the complete human figure in its actual form, I have incorporated augmented reality into my artwork. By viewing the paintings through a smartphone, viewers can experience a new level of interactivity and engagement with my work. Augmented reality allows them to see the complete human figure in a way that is both surprising and captivating.

In combining traditional painting techniques with cutting-edge technology, I am able to create a truly innovative and captivating artistic experience for viewers. My goal is to challenge traditional notions of art and create work that is both accessible and thoughtprovoking, inspiring viewers to contemplate the complexities of the human experience. My work is rooted in the exploration of the human form and its complexities. I aim to create pieces that are both visually striking and intellectually stimulating, prompting viewers to question their assumptions about humanity and the world around them. To bring my work to life, I utilize augmented reality to reveal the complete human figure in its actual form. By viewing my paintings through a smartphone, viewers can unlock a new level of interactivity and engagement with my art, allowing them to experience the full scope of my artistic vision. My use of technology in art is a deliberate choice, as I believe that it offers a unique opportunity to engage younger audiences and individuals who are looking for a more immersive and interactive artistic experience.
